National pro-am league will cross promote with soccer training app

METUCHEN, NJ – United Women’s Soccer (UWS) and Techne Futbol have announced a partnership in regard to the industry-leading training app for soccer players. Techne Futbol allows for the individual to fine-tune their technique and manage their skill development outside of team training. The app provides the user with weekly videos consisting of exercises to improve their ball handling skills, etc. They can track their progress over time, set goals and compete with others across the country as well.

With the partnership, UWS and UWS League Two member teams will cross promote with Techne Futbol and receive a special offer. To learn more about the acclaimed soccer training service, visit their official website at TechneFutbol.com.

“UWS is always looking for beneficial ways to help our players achieve the best out of their soccer career,” said UWS Chief Operation Officer Roberto Aguas. “The Techne Futbol app does just that. Training outside the team format is crucial for a player’s development. This app makes that extra work more efficient and fun at the same time.”

Techne Futbol was founded by former professional soccer player and U.S. Women’s National Team alum Yael Averbuch. She also currently serves as the Executive Director of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) Players Association.

“We’re honored for Techne to be a resource that UWS teams can use to further support the development of their players,” said Averbuch. “Through this partnership, we’re excited to work directly with UWS to continue to foster a competitive environment for players all over the country to hone their skills.”
