Metuchen, NJ – UWS League Two (UWS2) is excited to announce expansion to the Mid-Atlantic South Conference in 2022. Golden Ball Soccer Academy (Chesapeake, VA) will be adding a women’s team set to kick off this summer.
“We could not be more excited and proud to be part of the United Women’s Soccer league,” said Owner/Technical Director Jonathan Baca. “Golden Ball Soccer Academy is pleased with the opportunity for the women in the Hampton Roads area to play at the highest level of competition possible with standards and true measurable goals, building players for women soccer in the USA. We plan to be a club that develops professional players year-round.”
Golden Ball Soccer Academy (GBSA) also known as “Bola de Ouro,” opened in 2016 with the goal of training professional soccer players and goalkeepers. Founder and Owner, Jonathan Baca has over 40 years of combined experience in playing and coaching. Golden Ball Soccer Academy is committed to providing players with the opportunity to develop athletically and personally in a positive, supportive, and safe environment. The addition of a women’s team competing in UWS League Two provides a player pathway for their club.

Golden Ball Soccer Academy will play their home matches at Norfolk Collegiate (7336 Gramby St, Norfolk, VA 23505). The Women’s teams will have tryouts on Monday, April 18th, 2022 at Norfolk Collegiate at 6 PM. For more information, visit their official website.
