METUCHEN, NJ — United Women’s Soccer (UWS) announced today that it will extend its partnership with Passage, a cutting-edge ticketing and payments engine. Passage has been the official ticketing provider of the UWS since 2019. The partnership will provide all UWS teams with access to a custom online ticketing portal, available to all UWS teams.
“We’re thrilled to be working with the UWS,” said Alex Linebrink, CEO of Passage. “Our goal is to help the entire league evolve to the next level by eliminating some of the headaches that come with managing a growing soccer club, like tracking sales, managing inventory, and reaching more fans.”
Teams that choose to opt-in to the UWS Tickets portal receive concierge support and access to Passage’s entire suite of ticketing and payments features, all at zero cost to their team.
“We’re very happy to be working with Passage,” said UWS COO/Co-Founder Roberto Aguas. “This simplifies the entire box office setup for our teams so that they can focus on recruiting and developing great players, and providing fans with the best possible game-day experience. We look forward to growing together.”
In March 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic shut down sporting events around the world, the Passage team started working on solutions to help teams reopen safely.
“Our team is constantly building new features and looking for ways to help soccer clubs safely reopen and welcome back fans,” said Linebrink. “We are looking forward to growing together with the UWS and making the sport more accessible to fans nationwide.”

United Women’s Soccer (UWS) is a national pro-am league composed of professionally operated clubs within the United States and Canada. UWS provides high level competition for college players, aspiring and former professionals, and international stars.
UWS League Two launched in 2020 as a new developmental pathway, geared towards U20/U23 players which serves as a feeder to the main league. For new clubs, it’s an opportunity to introduce themselves to the standards-driven pro-am league and a launch point for a potential UWS First Team.
The overarching goal of both leagues is to achieve equality of opportunity for women’s soccer. In a time where there are several professional and amateur leagues for men’s soccer across North America, there is a huge gap that exists between the college and professional ranks on the women’s side. UWS fills that gap by providing a pathway to pro for the amateur player.
