UWS National Cup Cancelled

United Women’s Soccer has decided to cancel the 2020 UWS National Cup that was scheduled to be held in Round Rock, Texas from July 9-17. The league has been monitoring the rise of COVID-19 cases in the area and heeding the advice given by their Medical Director, Dr. Martha Pyron of Medicine in Motion. “Due to the increase in cases in our area and the fact that teams would be flying in, I felt that the risk had increased to a point where we could not ensure the safety of all participants,” stated Dr. Pyron.

UWS-2 Inaugural Match: Unity FC 4, Orlando FC Royals 1

It has been a long hard road for Unity FC. A road that became even more difficult to navigate with the incredulous reality that the sporting world had come to a complete halt due to a global pandemic. However, the perseverance of a group of young women along with the commitment of the organization to this group and the sport of women’s soccer, paid off as Unity FC showed its resolve in a 4-1 win against the Orlando FC Royals in a UWS-2 league match on Saturday night.

UWS Announces Two Regional Showcases

United Women’s Soccer (UWS) is excited to announce two league sanctioned showcases in the Midwest Conference to take place this July. Member teams have worked with the league to provide competitive opportunities for their players despite the cancellation of a full-regular season.

UWS Announces 2020 National Cup in Texas

The United Women’s Soccer (UWS) national pro-am league is pleased to announce plans to hold a National Cup from July 9-17th at the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex in Round Rock, Texas. The UWS National Cup, hosted by FC Austin Elite, will provide an opportunity for teams to compete this summer after the recent cancellation of the regular season.

UWS League Two Update

The inaugural season for UWS League Two will commence this summer in the Southeast Conference. Four teams from the state of Florida are confirmed to compete this season: Unity F.C., Orlando FC Royals, SportsParadize Soccer Academy, and Deltona Stars.

UWS Provides Update on 2020 Season

The United Women’s Soccer (UWS) national pro-am league has announced the cancelation of a full regular season in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Given the current circumstances, it is an unrealistic time frame for the league to provide a complete season. The safety and well-being of UWS players, staff, and supporters continue to be of the highest priority throughout their decision making process.


United Women’s Soccer (UWS) national pro-am league is excited to announce a new trick shot challenge for their member teams. Participating teams will be placed in a bracket where they will compete with an opponent to advance to the the next round, and ultimately the championship.

UWS Welcomes Corktown AFC

United Women’s Soccer is pleased to announce Detroit-based club, Corktown AFC, as its newest member club. The club will have a first team competing in the UWS & a reserve team in the newly launched UWS League Two. While the teams will take the field in the future, post COVID-19, Corktown AFC is ready whenever it’s deemed safe to do so.


United Women’s Soccer (UWS) national pro-am league is closely monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic. The league will adjust it’s season in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the directions of local, state, and national authorities.

UWS & Techne Futbol Partner Up

United Women’s Soccer (UWS) and Techne Futbol have announced a partnership in regard to the industry-leading training app for soccer players. Techne Futbol allows for the individual to fine-tune their technique and manage their skill development outside of team training.
