METUCHEN, NJ – United Women’s Soccer (UWS) and Fueling Dynamic Leaders (FDL) have announced a partnership to create a collaborative and engaging self-paced nutritional and leadership series for it’s players by learning directly from world-class athletes.
The FDL Academy teaches new skills that will bring both sports and life experiences of the athletes to the next level. The focus on leadership skills and properly fueling performance, on and off the field, through optimal nutrition will educate and expose athletes to the deeper aspects of building strong leaders and a dynamic team. This program will build confidence, strength and healthy lifestyle practices.
FDL is the newest women-owned business that partners with the league and joins Duktig Brand (designers of soccer-specific waterproof notebooks, notepads and accessories for coach & player planning, reflection and development) and Techne Futbol (a soccer training app founded by former U.S. Women’s National Team star Yael Averbuch) in serving UWS athletes & teams.
“Partnering with FDL, Angela & Meg continues to reflect the complete focus and dedication we have built the UWS under, to grow a league for women, by women,” stated UWS Co-Founder/COO Roberto Aguas. “Our goal is to bring industry leading resources to all of our clubs and players and FDL is such a resource that our members can use for years to come.”
“The Fueling Dynamic Leaders team is thrilled to have this new partnership with the United Women’s Soccer League,” said Co-Founders Angela Hucles & Meg Mangano. “We are in a growing age of new development opportunities specifically for women’s soccer. Having this partnership allows a wonderful alignment in supporting that growth of the game, but also the individual players and teams. We are happy to provide trusted and beneficial support and guidance through the FDL program while providing support to the UWS and their mission to continue providing high level environments and pathways for their players.”
