Lansing United put in a dominating performance on Sunday afternoon, picking up a 3-0 victory over Livonia City FC (UWS-2) to claim third-place in the United Women’s Soccer Stadium Showcase. Three different scorers found twine for The Hoops in the win, while team captain Anna Stinson tallied two assists.

UWS Cancels League Two Season in Southeast

United Women’s Soccer became the first U.S. national league to return to play when the new UWS League Two began in the Southeast Conference on June 20th. The inaugural season for UWS League Two kicked off with host team Unity FC’s 4-1 victory over the Orlando FC Royals.

It has been a long hard road for Unity FC. A road that became even more difficult to navigate with the incredulous reality that the sporting world had come to a complete halt due to a global pandemic. However, the perseverance of a group of young women along with the commitment of the organization to this group and the sport of women’s soccer, paid off as Unity FC showed its resolve in a 4-1 win against the Orlando FC Royals in a UWS-2 league match on Saturday night.

UWS League Two Update

The inaugural season for UWS League Two will commence this summer in the Southeast Conference. Four teams from the state of Florida are confirmed to compete this season: Unity F.C., Orlando FC Royals, SportsParadize Soccer Academy, and Deltona Stars.

United Women’s Soccer (UWS) has added two more teams to the 2020 League Two lineup. Michigan Legends FC has rebranded as Legends FC Pro Am and will join the new Midwest Conference. In the Southeast Conference, SportsParadize Soccer Academy will serve as the fourth member team.
