An eleventh team has been added to the New England Conference of United Women’s Soccer (UWS) League Two for the 2021 season. Bayside Football Club will be the first-ever UWS team from the state of Rhode Island. Based out of East Providence, the organization was established in 1997 and has attracted players from across Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts.

Two more teams have joined the Summer 2021 lineup in United Women’s Soccer (UWS) League Two. The inaugural season of the new developmental pathway for players in the U20-U23 age group continues its rapid growth with further additions to the Mid-Atlantic and Sunshine Conferences. UWS League Two is under the umbrella of the national pro-am league and also serves as the official league for UWS reserve teams.
The New England Conference of United Women’s Soccer (UWS) League Two is filling up it’s team lineup with two more additions for the Summer 2021 campaign. Aztec Soccer Club and South Shore Select will push the number up to eight teams who will compete for the conference crown in the revitalized region of pro-am soccer. The reserve teams for the Albany Rush, Connecticut Fusion, New England Mutiny and Worcester Smiles as well as Massachusetts-based New England Futbol Club & Upper 90 Soccer Academy will also take part this summer.

Expansion in the national pro-am league for the upcoming campaign turns the corner towards preparation for competition with four organizations joining the Great Lakes, New England, Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, respectively.
In an expansive step towards the future of both men’s and women’s soccer in North America, United Women’s Soccer (UWS) and the National Independent Soccer Association (NISA) have announced an alliance linking the two organizations. The relationship between the national pro-am women’s league and professional men’s league will reflect a combined vision to create greater opportunity, improved operations and merit-based advancement for women’s clubs, players and leadership.
