Two second half goals propelled Midwest United FC to a 3-1 victory over host club Detroit City FC, claiming the United Women’s Soccer (UWS) Keyworth Showcase title on Sunday evening. Stephanie “Stitch” Curry netted the eventual game-winner after the break, her fifth goal of the Showcase.

UWS Stadium Showcase: Third-place Match

Lansing United put in a dominating performance on Sunday afternoon, picking up a 3-0 victory over Livonia City FC (UWS-2) to claim third-place in the United Women’s Soccer Stadium Showcase. Three different scorers found twine for The Hoops in the win, while team captain Anna Stinson tallied two assists.

UWS Stadium Showcase Semi #2: Detroit City FC holds off Lansing United

Detroit City FC earned their place in the United Women’s Soccer 2020 Stadium Showcase Final on Sunday afternoon, squeaking out a 2-1 victory over Lansing United in the second game of the Showcase. Kenna White’s 74th minute goal was the deciding factor in the victory, breaking a 1-1 stalemate and launching DCFC past the visiting United.

UWS Stadium Showcase Semi #1: Midwest United FC 9, Livonia City FC 0

Midwest United punched their ticket to the United Women’s Soccer 2020 Stadium Showcase Final on Sunday afternoon, earning a 9-0 victory over UWS League Two foe Livonia City FC in the first game of the Showcase. Stephanie “Stitch” Currie netted four goals to lead the Midwest effort, notching a hat trick in the first 32 minutes of play. Marty Corby added a brace and two assists, while Kaema Amachree ended with a goal and assist.

2020 UWS Stadium Showcase Preview

Detroit City FC is set to host the inaugural United Women’s Soccer Stadium Showcase this weekend at Keyworth Stadium (Hamtramck, MI). The two-day tournament features four UWS clubs from the Midwest that are competing for the 2020 UWS Stadium Championship title. Fans will not be permitted to attend this weekend’s historic matches, however the showcase will be live-streamed on MyCujoo.

UWS Announces 2020 National Cup in Texas

The United Women’s Soccer (UWS) national pro-am league is pleased to announce plans to hold a National Cup from July 9-17th at the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex in Round Rock, Texas. The UWS National Cup, hosted by FC Austin Elite, will provide an opportunity for teams to compete this summer after the recent cancellation of the regular season.


United Women’s Soccer (UWS) national pro-am league is excited to announce a new trick shot challenge for their member teams. Participating teams will be placed in a bracket where they will compete with an opponent to advance to the the next round, and ultimately the championship.

UWS Welcomes Corktown AFC

United Women’s Soccer is pleased to announce Detroit-based club, Corktown AFC, as its newest member club. The club will have a first team competing in the UWS & a reserve team in the newly launched UWS League Two. While the teams will take the field in the future, post COVID-19, Corktown AFC is ready whenever it’s deemed safe to do so.
