Pensacola FC needed a good performance in two midweek games against Louisiana FC to cement itself atop the Southeast Conference standings, and it delivered, beginning with this 5-0 victory on Tuesday. Danielle Fuentes opened the scoring in the first half to give Pensacola an advantage at the break, and from there, the Louisiana resistance broke down. Monigo Karnley scored a second-half brace, while Kayla Fernandez and Kristina Lynch also contributed goals.
St. Louis SG extended its winning streak to four games in midweek action with a 4-2 win over Gretna Elite on the road. St. Louis did most of its heavy lifting late in the first half. Abbie Miller began the scoring with a blast from 25 yards out in the 40th minute. Then, Emily Groark finished a pair of through balls from Miller just before the end of the half. Sydney Stephens then pounced on an assist from Groark in the 68th minute to put the visitors up 4-0. Gretna grabbed a couple of late consolation goals, but the result was never in doubt.
FC Wichita picked up its second win in three games this season, besting KC Courage 2-1 at home. Brokelynn Etz led the way for the victors scoring twice in three minutes to account for both Wichita goals. First she finished off a through ball by Dora Gallo, then provided the finish at the far post off a cross by Abril Lucio to send the home side into halftime with a 2-0 lead. KC Courage pulled a goal back in the 64th minute, but could not find a second as FC Wichita held on.
The first of two matchups between these clubs this week turned out to be a thrilling one, as KC Courage and Gretna Elite fought to a 2-2 draw. Reagan Raabe began the scoring for Gretna Elite as she cashed in a through ball on the counter-attack in the 19th minute, but KC Courage responded five minutes later with Courtney Claassen’s penalty kick. Once again Gretna Elite went in front after halftime, as Emma Wilson headed home a cross, but that lead didn’t last long either. Caroline Kelly took full advantage of a breakaway in the 74th minute that earned her side a share of the points.

Corner Ballpark played host to a tasty matchup between two teams that had won their first two games entering this midweek match, but the result was one-sided, as Detroit City FC (3-0 UWS Midwest North) claimed an emphatic 3-0 win over Corktown AFC (2-1 UWS Midwest North). The visitors crafted themselves a 2-0 cushion by the 16th minute, as Sarah Huge scored with an assist by Alia Frederick and Kennedy White also found the back of the net. Substitute Tatiana Mason put the result beyond doubt with her goal in the 51st minute.
