After a successful inaugural season in UWS League Two (UWS2), Middletown Sporting CT is moving to the first division of the national pro-am league. Sporting CT finished their 2022 debut as champions of the New England Conference. This upcoming season, they will field a First Team to compete in UWS and a U23 team to compete in UWS2 as an extension of their elite girls youth program. The West Conference of United Women’s Soccer (UWS) has expanded to Nevada for the first time in league history. Reno Vikings will round out the 2023 conference lineup alongside FC Arizona, Los Angeles SC, Santa Clarita Blue Heat, and reigning conference champions Calgary Foothills WFC (Alberta). This past NWSL Draft saw nine UWS alums hailing from the West, including #1 pick Alyssa Thompson who played four seasons with SC Blue Heat. 

United Women’s Soccer is excited to announce the addition of Edgewater Castle FC. The Chicago-based club will join the Central Conference for the 2023 season. The team will play its home games at the Fire Pitch, the training center for the Chicago Fire of MLS.

UWS League Two (UWS2) is pleased to announce the first expansion club of 2023. Back Mountain Soccer Club (Dallas, Pennsylvania) will be adding a women’s team set to kick off this season.
