Metuchen, NJ – UWS League Two (UWS2) is pleased to announce the first expansion club of 2023. Back Mountain Soccer Club (Dallas, Pennsylvania) will be adding a women’s team set to kick off this season.
Established over 40 years ago in 1978, Back Mountain Soccer Club has a rich history of developing quality players from Northeastern Pennsylvania. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the club prides itself in developing youth soccer players in a safe, dynamic, and fun environment.
Back Mountain Soccer Club’s mission is to develop a passion and commitment to the game of soccer by providing the most complete pathway from recreational to premier youth level soccer. They will now be expanding their program beyond the Under-19 age group to allow for further development of its women’s players. Their UWS League Two roster will be composed of the top collegiate players locally with high school graduates who are committed to playing soccer in college.
“We are absolutely honored to join such an established and accomplished Women’s Pro-Am league,” said Club President, Michael Pitcavage. “The Northeastern Pennsylvania community has a large group of highly ranked female collegiate players excited for this opportunity of continued development and technical skill. We realized that our area unquestionably needed a UWS team. This opportunity in our area will help us in continuing our mission to showcase talent on a regional and national level.”
Back Mountain Soccer Club’s home venue will be Misericordia University (301 Lake Street, Dallas, PA 18612).
