UWS2 NorCal Conference welcomes Sacramento-based club

Metuchen, NJ — UWS League Two (UWS2) is pleased to announce the addition of American River Futbol Club. American River FC arrives to join the newly formed NorCal Conference, with more additions coming soon.

The Sacramento-based club’s strong history of dedication to women’s under-23 soccer can now be applied at the national level in UWS2 — a developmental league geared toward players of that age group.

“I’m excited for our U23 women’s program to be aligned with UWS,” said American River FC Academy Director Mike Canty. “Our players and team have the same core values as UWS, and we look forward to this opportunity.”

Established in 2009, American River FC provides players in the Sacramento region with a high-quality, low-cost option for year-round competitive soccer.

The club strives to develop passionate players who also value their family, friends and community. It views soccer as a means of developing children into young women of conscience and character.

With teams competing in the NorCal Premier Playing League, American River FC boasts its own indoor facility and offers year-round training and futsal.

The home venue for American River FC will be announced soon. For more information on American River FC, visit their official website. Connect with them on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
