Alacranes Fort Worth to play in UWS Southwest Conference for 2021 season

METUCHEN, NJ – Alacranes Fort Worth will join United Women’s Soccer’s Southwest Conference for the 2021 season, taking the place of Dallas International, who, due to unforeseen circumstances, is unable to participate this season. The Southwest Conference kicks off its season on May 15.

“We are very excited to welcome Alacranes Fort Worth to United Women’s Soccer for the 2021 season,” said UWS Commissioner Joe Ferrara. “Expanding our footprint into the fort worth market is a great fit geographically for the conference.

The club’s mission is to prepare college players for professional competition. Founded in 2020, Alacranes Fort Worth is dedicated to providing promising athletes in the Fort Worth community with high-level playing opportunities. The club values players who show a strong commitment to hard work and a goal-driven mindset. In support of its mission, Alacranes Fort Worth has established a relationship with Club de Fútbol Pachuca Femenil of Mexico’s Liga MX Femenil to help players pursue professional opportunities with the club.

The club will play its home fixtures at Diamond Hill Jarvis High School in northern Fort Worth.

“Joining UWS is a great way for our players to continue development in their soccer careers,” General Manager and Co-Owner Saul Chairez said. “We are excited to be a part of this organization and continue growing as a club.”
