Weeks 3 & 4: Team of the Week

Metuchen, NJ – Weeks Three and Four of United Women’s Soccer action put some incredible talent on display. Elliott Breech and Allie Augur claimed the weekly honors for their exploits in goal. Grace Stordy and Schuyler Riese showed their class at the back on their way to becoming the Defensive Players of the Week, while Ariana Mondiri and Jackie Richards won plaudits for their attacking play.

GK – Elliott Breech (Lancaster Inferno) An outstanding 11-save performance from Breech propelled Lancaster Inferno to a 2-0 win over NJ Copa FC.

D – Grace Stordy (Foothills WFC) – Showcased outstanding leadership and quality defending in a win over Impact FC, even finding the back of the net as well.  

D – Katy Couperus (FC Austin Elite) – Couperus proved a force at the back for FC Austin Elite, and became an offensive weapon as well with a key equalizing header. 

D – Tess Ford (FC Buffalo) – Ford kept the pressure on Rochester Lancers attackers in a recent victory, and scored a goal to help her team’s attack, too. 

M – Courtney Claassen** (KC Courage) – Claassen once again illustrated her quality, scoring twice in a KC Courage victory over Gretna Elite. 

M – Saorla Miller (Foothills WFC) – Miller was prolific from her role in the midfield, contributing a brace in a win over Impact FC. 

F – Ariana Mondiri** (Gretna Elite) – Mondiri proved to be a spark for her side, scoring a hat trick and contributing an assist as well in a 6-0 win over Side FC.

F – Catherine Barry** (NE Mutiny) – Barry scored a vital game-winning goal for NE Mutiny in a big-time clash with CT Fusion. 

F – Katie Krohn (Albany Rush) – Krohn delivered a hat trick and notched an assist as well in a blowout victory over Worcester Smiles. 

F – Brooklyn Respecki (Erie Commodores) – Respecki played a crucial part in Erie Commdores’ 4-3 win over Pittsburgh Hotspurs, scoring a hat trick. 

F – Carissima Cutrona (FC Buffalo) – Cutrona turned in quite the prolific performance in a four-point weekend for FC Buffalo, scoring twice in each of her side’s two games.

GK – Maddie Murphy (NE Mutiny) – 6 saves vs CT Fusion, including vital one in closing moments. 

D – Kenzi Gillispie (FC Wichita) – Allowed only 1 shot on target vs Arkansas Wolves. 

M – Rachel Sweigard (Cap City Athletic) – 2 goals vs. Michigan Jaguars.

F – Kayla Rollins (Michigan Jaguars) – 1 goa, 1 assist in debut vs Cap City Athletic.

F – Aubrey Mister (St. Louis Scott Gallagher) – 2 goals, 1 assist vs. Indiana Elite.

F – Alexa Dix (Erie Commodores) – 1 goal, 3 assists vs. Pittsburgh Hotspurs.

GK – Allie Augur (Connecticut Fusion) – Augur posted seven key saves to help her side keep a clean sheet against Scorpions SC. 

D – Schuyler Riese (KC Courage) – Riese had about a prolific game as you’ll ever see from a defender, assisting twice and scoring once to help KC Courage beat Arkansas Wolves.

D – Maggie Zacsko (Foothills WFC) – Zacsko managed her one-on-one duels expertly, and excelled in her organization duties for Foothills WFC. 

D – Eve Clarkson (San Antonio Athenians) – Clarkson showcased her quality in the air and on the ground, winning several headers and slide challenges for SA Athenians. 

M – Jackie Richards (Lancaster Inferno) – Richards displayed an elite finishing touch with a hat trick in a Lancaster Inferno win over NJ Copa.

M – Courtney Claassen *** (KC Courage) – Claassen once again proved to be an elite presence in midfield, scoring twice and providing an assist against Arkansas Wolves.

M – Kacey Lawrence** (CT Fusion) – Lawrence scored twice, including a beautiful chip over the goalkeeper, in a 3-0 win over Scorpions SC.

M – Kelsey DeLola (Rochester Lancers) – DeLola showed her quality in possession and as a finisher, scoring twice in a win over FC Buffalo. 

F – Sierra Wannamaker (San Antonio Athenians) – Wannamaker helped SA Athenians best SA Runners with her tricky dribbling and elite finishing, scoring with three different t

F – Catherine Barry*** (NE Mutiny) – Barry scored the only goal of the game as NE Mutiny bested Albany Rush. 

F – Ryann Hierholzer (FC Austin Elite) – Hierholzer provided a vital goal to give FC Austin three points against Luxoria FC.
