METUCHEN, NJ – United Women’s Soccer (UWS) has released the 2022 regular season schedule for the West Conference. Six teams will vie for the title of conference champion and the automatic berth into the four-team UWS National Championship held between July 21-24.
Expansion club, Los Angeles SC, will open up the season at home against Utah-based club Kongo SC on Friday, May 20th (Location TBA). Kongo SC will then face reigning national champion Santa Clarita Blue Heat at the College of the Canyons on Saturday, May 21st.
On Memorial Day weekend, Kongo SC will host its second double header of 2022. They will take on newest expansion club FC Arizona on Friday, May 27th at Spence Eccles Complex. The next day, Kongo SC will face Santa Clarita Blue Heat for the second time this season.
Impact FC UWS enters their second season of UWS competition hosting the two-time defending West champion Calgary Foothills WFC on Saturday May 28th. Impact FC and Calgary Foothills each won one of two games between each other last season. As usual, the rivalry match between the two Canadian based teams will be one for the ages.
Impact FC UWS and Calgary Foothills WFC will travel to the states during the first weekend of June to face both Los Angeles SC and Kongo SC.
The regular season for the West Conference commences on Saturday, July 16th. The top team in the final regular season standings will automatically qualify for the four-team UWS National Championship (July 22-24).
