METUCHEN, NJ – United Women’s Soccer (UWS) has officially announced the alignment and schedule for the 2022 Penn-NY Division as part of the East Conference which consists of sixteen teams. Five teams from the Penn-NY Division will compete for the division title to advance to the four-team East Conference Playoffs the weekend of July 15-17. The winner will represent the East in the UWS National Championship from July 22-24.
Four teams open up the season on Sunday, May 15. The Rochester Lancers will host expansion club Pittsburgh Hotspurs at Aquinas Institute (Rochester, NY). The 2021 Regular Season East Conference Champions, FC Buffalo, will travel to Onondaga Community College to play AC Syracuse Pulse. The Commodores FC will make their women’s team debut against their rival, FC Buffalo, on May 21 at Robert Rich Sr. All-High Stadium (Buffalo, NY).
The teams will play a ten game regular season which concludes Sunday, July 10.
